With so much to do in this Jersey Shore town, you’re going to want to stay here for a few days to experience it all. Here are some of the best places to stay in town.

For an upscale experience, try The White Sands Oceanfront Resort & Spa. It’s the perfect vacation getaway with the right mix of friendliness and clean accommodations. The Sea Spa & Salon is conveniently located on site, and the beach is right across the street. Check out Lido Cafe, also located at the oceanside resort. They serve up breakfast and lunch with spectacular ocean views. Poolside and patio dining also available during peak season. For a fabulous dinner, go upstairs to Spano’s Ristorante Italiano, which offers a taste of Italy at the Jersey Shore. They specialize in delicious steaks, seafood and pasta that has made the Spano name famous for years.

If you want a clean motel that’s conveniently located, try the Driftwood Motel. This family owned and operated lodge is located on the beach in Point Pleasant Beach. The motel is located one-tenth of a mile from the Boardwalk attractions, rides, entertainment, dining, and much more. Another affordable accommodation is The Surfside, another family-operated establishment that caters to families and mature adults. They are known for providing some of the cleanest motel accommodations on the Jersey Shore. Plus the location is convenient to the boardwalk and all major attractions.

Located on Broadway, which runs perpendicular to the beach, the Shore Point Motel is open year-round and caters to families and responsible adults. It’s just a short walk to nearby restaurants, beaches, boardwalk, fishing, marinas, and Jenkinson’s Aquarium. Guests here can enjoy conveniences such as air-conditioned rooms, a heated pool, and free beach passes.

For a more quaint stay, check out Ye Olde Cottage House, located on Arnold Avenue. It’s got a villa-like setting with a gorgeous courtyard. The difference is in the details here—there are beautiful fresh flowers for outside dining. Hosts Laurie and Anthony provide a personal touch for a fabulous stay.

No matter where you stay in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, you’ll enjoy all that this charming Jersey Shore town has to offer!

With plenty to do in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, it’s no wonder that so many bars and restaurants add to the assortment of activities. Nightlife here applies to all ages and includes happening clubs and relaxing bars.

Europa South, located on route 35 South, is known for Portuguese and Spanish cuisine, but its bar is just as sizzling. It caters to all ages and isn’t as rowdy as some of the other venues here.

Jenks Club is the premier nightclub in Point Pleasant Beach. It attracts mostly a younger crowd with live music from some of the areas hottest acts such as The Nerds, and has several bars. It’s a very spacious club located right on the beach and is a good place to enjoy dancing and cocktails with friends.

Just down the boardwalk is Martell’s Tiki Bar, a pier that reaches out over the ocean and offesr a fabulous place to enjoy cocktails. It’s a more adult crowd here and plenty of fun to be right over the ocean.

Frankie’s Bar and Grill, located on Route 35 South, is a fabulous place for good food and drink. It’s a restaurant and turns into a nightlife hotspot after hours. The people here are lively and it’s a great crowd.

Just a town over in Point Pleasant Borough on route 88 is Hart’s Idle Hour, a small pub that features live entertainment and great food and drink. The drinks are delicious here, and there’s a small dance floor where you can enjoy a spin to your favorite area band. It’s also a restaurant so you can get a meal before your big night out. This venue is one of those unique bars that attracts all ages—and they mingle and have fun in perfect harmony. While not in Point Pleasant Beach, it’s worth a mention because of the warm, casual environment.

There’s always plenty to do in Point Pleasant Beach. Just north is Manasquan, New Jersey, with more nightlife options. But you probably won’t have to cross the Route 35 bridge to find something engaging for a fun night out.

There’s so much to see and do in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey, so it’s difficult to pick just a few activities to fill up your week here. You will be overwhelmed with all there is in this quaint Jersey Shore town, but you’re sure to love it!

The beach is obviously the hotspot here, and there’s plenty of beach to go around. Whether you sunbathe along the boardwalk or choose a less-crowded beach, you’ll enjoy the water here. A beautiful spot to see along the water is certainly the Manasquan Inlet. Park here and watch the boats go out. There are also nearby restaurants and eateries, so it’s the perfect place to enjoy the scenes and tastes of Point Pleasant.

The aquarium makes a great day trip. Jenkinson’s Aquarium, also located on the boardwalk, is open year-round. There are scheduled feeding times throughout the week so you can plan your viewing of choice. Come see the American alligators, African black-footed penguins, Atlantic and Pacific sharks, harbor seals and tropical birds. They also have a coral exhibit, as well as a reproduction of the famous H.M.S. Bounty.

Speaking of fish, there’s plenty of fishing options, and taking a boat out makes for a fun day excursion. If you’d rather catch fish than look at them, Point Pleasant Beach is the place to be. Experienced fisherman can head straight to the Manasquan Inlet, at the tip of town where the Atlantic and Manasquan meet. It’s the most popular fishing area in the region. Pick up supplies at Alex’s Bait and Tackle on Inlet Drive. But if you’d like a little help in your quest for sea bounty, take a trip on the Norma K III. The fishing excursions run all year-round, and launch from the Inlet. Or contact Windward Charters for a unique spa-and-sail package!

Point Pleasant Beach is home to many spas, so plan to spend at least a day on one of them. The Sea Spa & Salon is located at The White Sands Oceanfront Resort & Spa and offers plenty of pampering services. From massages to facials, you’ll enjoy the sea-inspired treatments and relaxing environment. Get a bite to eat during the day to make it complete. You can also visit the fitness center and tone up while you’re here.

Shopping in Point Pleasant Beach is a day trip in its own. There are plenty of shops and a large antique district here. So you’ll want to set off along Arnold and Bay avenues to explore all the hotspots. A tasty place to stop for a bite is The Beanery or the Green Planet Coffee Co. Head down Route 35 heading south and you’ll find the surf-inspired shop, Brave New World, and a similar vibe at Surf Taco, which serves up fresh Mexican meals.

The best thing to do in this charming municipality is relax. So take in the sights and sounds and enjoy your time here.

This charming town epitomizes life at the Jersey Shore. With a bustling downtown area, a large-scale antiquing district, distinctive restaurants, and the lure of the oceanfront, it’s no wonder that many people head here year-round for an enjoyable experience. Again and again, Point Pleasant Beach delivers.

The top destination here is, of course, the Point Pleasant Beach boardwalk. Compared to the Seaside Heights boardwalk, this is more of a family-friendly destination. Although there aren’t as many rides, this quaint boardwalk offers a long stretch of boards to take a walk. You’ll notice the aquarium, which is a fun stop especially with children. If you head all the way north, there is a stretch of boards that run along houses and then lead up to the inlet. During the summer, one weeknight is transformed as an orchestra plays along the beach. The free shows—fireworks are weekly, too—are a great family activity.

For shoppers, a trip downtown is always exciting. There are plenty of distinctive boutiques and cafes that make window shopping and dining go hand in hand. Stop into Green Planet Coffee Co. for decadent desserts and delicious coffee and tea. The Beanery is a great place to enjoy a casual meal. Styles in Silver is a hub for all things in the realm of gorgeous jewelry. The downtown area is also home to several antique stores, which has given the municipality a stellar reputation in the antiques market.

The history of the town is rich, and dates back to September 2, 1609, when Henry Hudson and the crew of his ship, Half Moon, noticed Point Pleasant Beach on their way north to explore the Hudson River. Crewmember Robert Juet wrote in his journal, “This is a very good Land to fall with and a pleasant Land to see.” And 277 years later, The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach was established on June 2, 1886.

The first permanent boardwalk, which spanned Philadelphia and Central Avenues, came in 1915. It was eventually expanded to run the entire length of Point Pleasant Beach; but shortened to its present length by the hurricane of September 1938, which destroyed the southern portion of the boardwalk. It was slowly transformed from a place to stroll to an active amusement area. In the late 1920s, Orlo Jenkinson built Jenkinson’s Pavilion. Ever since then, the boardwalk became the place to go for a night out and other special events. With delicious food and fun games, it continues to be a huge attraction and is one of the state’s premier boardwalks.

Home to several restaurants, bars and other eateries, choosing a good place for a good meal in Point Pleasant Beach can be difficult. There are plenty of waterfront restaurants, enticing cafes and charming downtown eateries. With so much going on in Point Pleasant Beach, there’s a place to eat that matches your taste.

Along the inlet exists Jack Baker’s Wharfside and Lobster Shanty. These are two fine dining restaurants, although the Wharfside includes a charming outdoor deck in the summer that comes alive with appetizers, cocktails and music. You can sit on the deck and overlook the beautiful Manasquan River, which leads out to the Manasquan Inlet. But for an elegant meal or brunch, the Lobster Shanty offers sumptuous food in a soothing ambiance, complete with private party facilities. Brunch is a specialty here, and they go overboard with it—but it’s fabulous.

Frankie’s Bar and Grill, located on Richmond Avenue, also known as Route 35 South, is the perfect place to unwind after work with friends. Watch the game and enjoy appetizers, or have a casual lunch or dinner. The food here—mostly American cuisine—is absolutely delicious, so you’re sure to find something you love here.

The gem on Bay Avenue, which is located downtown, is The Beanery. It’s the perfect place to grab a cappuccino or a bite to eat. The lunch menu includes gourmet selections with the perfect finishes. Choose from a basic BLT with an avocado dip or salads adorned with seasonal fruit. The food here is fresh and tasty, and it’s a great place for a lunch.

When it comes to keeping the vibe mellow, a trip to Surf Taco is in order. Here you can dine in for lunch or dinner, or grab some delicious take-out. The menu here is chocked full of fresh Mexican food. There’s nothing too spicy (though you can kick it up a notch at the salsa bar) but all the food has a distinct taste for being deliciously healthy. Choose from the Costa Rican Burrito or the Taco Salad, which is served up in a huge shell. Enjoy a wide range of natural fruit smoothies as well.

These are just a few of the wonderful restaurants in Point Pleasant Beach. There are plenty of options so be sure to try out new places and be sure to revisit your old favorites. Whether you come to Point Pleasant Beach for a summer beach day or want to enjoy the beach in the winter, you’re sure to find something you like here.
