Located south of New York City, Long Branch is a hub for many locals and Manhattanites, all who like a lively night out. The tone here is a little more upscale, with many venues that are less rowdy.

The Brighton Bar is a notable venue for great live music in Long Branch. You’ll hear everything from rock to jazz—and even poetry—here, and the schedule is usually varied so you can catch a show you like. It does attract a younger crowd.

Want to spend a night out dancing? Avenue Beach Club is a chic restaurant and club that blends the brasserie style of France with the nightlife character of Saint Tropez. There is an international wine list, as well as drink specials every night of the week. The 5,000-square-foot space includes all, floor to ceiling windows, as well as a patio open late into the night during summer months.

For an Irish bar atmosphere, check out Celtic Cottage Pub, which has a traditional Irish atmosphere complete with great cocktails and a variety of domestic and imported beers.

For a hip night out, try Mix, located on Brighton Avenue in Long Branch. The drinks here are truly “signature,” including the Black Martini, which includes coffee. Actually martinis are huge here and the choice of martinis is extensive here. The atmosphere here is relaxed but includes a blend of Manhattan chic, too.

Avenue Nuit, which is a rooftop bar right on the ocean, has lovely views of both the beach and Pier Village, which is the big shopping, dining and apartment complex which was built just a few years ago and is making Long Branch the best place to be on the Jersey Shore! There are places to lounge outside and a raging dance floor inside. It makes for a very chic night out.

With so many entertainment options in Long Branch, New Jersey, it’s clear that this shore city will continue to be a stronghold on the Jersey Shore nightlife scene.

Just south of New York City, Long Branch, New Jersey, is a well-known destination. With a gorgeous waterfront and plenty of activities, people come here again and again for good times.

Pamper yourself at the Ocean Place Resort. You can spend a full day here exploring the spa and other amenities. There are plenty of waterfront attractions for when it’s warm out, such as restaurants and outdoor cafes. Inside, there’s nothing better than a facial or a massage in this top-rated salon. Speaking of spas, you can also check out the Aquamedica salon in Pier Village.

Pier Village begs for a day’s shopping excursion. With more than 30 upscale restaurants and boutiques, not to mention regular events, there is always something new happening here. The design supports pedestrian activity, which means it is a great place to stroll around. This area has become a hub of the town, so it’s worth checking out.

Though theater is no longer what Long Branch is known for as it was in the past, you still may want to visit the New Jersey Repertory Company, which features new works, refurbished classics and forgotten plays. Regular readings are performed throughout the year. Want a casual meal? Stop by the Windmill to top off your day—the hot dogs and fries are delicious!

Located a town over in Oceanport, New Jersey, the Monmouth Park Racetrack makes for a wonderful day out. The racetrack is home to the Haskell Invitational, and offers the rich history of Thoroughbred racing plus some of the best entertainment on the Jersey Shore. There are plenty of places to hang out here that you’ll enjoy. The luxurious, historic Parterre boxes, the first-come, first-served picnic tables and our vast grandstand are just a few of our seating options. When it comes to eating, you can have a picnic or enjoy a meal on the Dining Terrace or in the elegant Garden Room.

Of course no one can turn down a day at the beach, and these beaches are truly stunning. With a small boardwalk and gorgeous sand-filled beaches, you’ll marvel at the splendor of the Jersey Shore. Top off the evening with a visit to Uncle Vinnie’s Comedy Club, which started out as Ferrara’s Ristorante and is now one of the hottest comedy clubs in the tri-state area.

There’s nothing funny about visiting Long Branch, though. With a gorgeous water view and plenty of enjoyable venues, people flock here year-round for good times and beautiful scenery.

Located at the fabulous Jersey Shore, Long Branch, New Jersey is an active seaside town that offers luxury and recreation. From top-of-the-line resorts and restaurants to several historical buildings that contain the municipality’s roots, it’s no wonder that so many people enjoy this town.

Long Branch, New Jersey, was a beach resort town in the late 1700s. By the 1800s it was a “Hollywood” of the East, where some of the greatest performers of the day gathered and performed. In its day, this Jersey Shore town was widely known as a hub for the entertainment industry, receiving visits from many prominent celebrities. The City of Long Branch was officially formed in 1867.

By the 1950s, Long Branch like many other towns had developed new residential spots and housing to make room for the growing population. Many of the former farms of Long Branch were transformed into residential “suburbs.” Originally a resort town with a few hotels and large estates and many farms in the early 20th century, Long Branch’s population bursted as Italian, Irish and Jewish immigrants settled here. Plenty of the estates and a few old historic resorts (with the addition of many new ones) still remain. There are approximately 32,000 residents living here, with nearby Monmouth University as a well-known landmark. To the north is Monmouth Beach, and just south is the town of Deal.

The city is home to Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, which was named for the United States presidents who visited the fashionable resort town, including Ulysses S. Grant, Woodrow Wilson and James Garfield. Notable current and previous residents include country singer Clint Black, singer Bruce Springsteen and President James Garfield, who passed away here. Approximately 32,000 people currently call Long Branch their home.

More recently, Long Branch has undergone a revitalization of its own. Many upscale housing complexes have been added, and Pier Village provides shopping and restaurants to fuel the municipality’s economy. The feel here is now very upscale, and plans for more attractions and infrastructure developments are underway. There are plenty of bustling hotels and beach clubs in this area, which is what keeps people coming here time after time.
