Airfest: Cape May County Annual Event-Labor Day Weekend


Cape May County New Jersey has it’s beaches and sun and fun resorts, but it also offers Historic World War II Bombers that allows visitors to experience “living history”. Labor Day Weekend is that time and place for this South Jersey Airfest, which takes place at the Naval Air Station Wildwood Avaiation Museum at the Cape May Airport.
This museum boasts a collection of 26 aircraft spanning the period from early in WWII, with the Boeing Stearman, to the jet powered F-14 Tomcat used in Iraq.

On Labor Day Weekend famous WWII aircraft visits Cape May County and Historic Hanger #1 for four days. The tour features the P-51 Mustang, B-17 Flying Fortress and B-24 Liberator. The public will be given a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy and even take flight in these historic treasures. The main goal of the AirFest is to educate visitors about national history and to honor our veterans.
