Avalon’s Boardwalk

Avalon’s boardwalk is not what most think of at the Jersey Shore. Other than two smal eateries, (which are very good), and an arcade, this boardwalk does not have the rides, shopping, or excitement that other surrounding areas have with their boardwalk. But if you want a nice leisurely stroll, or a quiet bike ride, Avalon offers a nice quaint boardwalk that can be enjoyed by all.

House Tour of Avalon & Stone Harbor

For all of those who have dreamed of owning an multimillion dollar home at the Jersey Shore, but know that it will never happen, you can dream on while touring one at the annual House Tour of Avalon and Stone Harbor. This annual event, which raises money for the Cape Regional Medical Center, offers a tour of the most prestigious homes on the seven mile Island. House value range from the low of 2-3 million dollars upward to 10-20 million. Thos who come will not be disappointed as they get to witness how the wealthy spend their summer vacations or their daily lives.

The Princeton in Avalon: Hold on alcohol being served outside???

For those of you who visit the Southern Jersey shore during the summer, make a point to visit the Princeton in Avalon. The owners have totally renovated the property and now has an outdoor eating area along with an open air bar. But the City of Avalon has given the owners a hard time about serving alcohol at the outdoor area. After the owners spend mega bucks on giving the Princeton a new look and more upscale design, why would the City of Avalon have a problem with the serving of alcohol in a designated, sit down, eating area??? It makes you wonder who is behind this and what agenda they must have.
