Things To Do In Belmar NJ
Like most Jersey Shore towns, Belmar is brimming with things to do. In addition to a fun waterfront, this town is vibrant with exciting shops and restaurants as well as buzzing nightlife. Still, it’s a fabulous destination for people of all ages.
The beach is a top destination here. The beach and boardwalk stretch from 1st to 20th avenues. Start your day with an early jog along the tranquil boardwalk, where the sunrise greets a new morning. As the day progresses, you can swim, surf and sail in the ocean, stop by specialty stores along the beach, or just bask in the sun.
Head over to the Belmar Municipal Marina during your next day here. You can hop on a boat and go on a fishing trip or enjoy other activities along the waterfront. Launch a kayak or sunbathe on the calm water beach. There are even tennis courts and a playground, which makes this a great spot to be when you don’t want to hit the beach on a hot day.
Belmar’s downtown area has a day’s worth of exciting shops to visit. There are a mix of restaurants and cafes, too, in addition to several pubs and bars. The area attracts many tourists during the season and provides a quaint shopping experience.
Just south of Belmar is Spring Lake, another top shore destination. If you’re in the are, stop down 3rd Avenue to explore the upscale shops or head over to the stunning beachfront and walk the boardwalk. Nightlife is huge here, and there are many places to explore including The Boathouse, Pat’s Pub and D’Jais. While some of these venues attract a younger crowd, there are event spaces that cater to older folks.
See Belmar by boat to wrap up your week here. Whether you fish or not, you’ll enjoy the spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the town on the Skylarker II, Big Mohawk or Captain Eagle. There are plenty of party boats where you can enjoy cocktails and food and mingle with friends on a nice summer evening. You can cruise out through the Shark River Inlet into the gorgeous Atlantic Ocean and enjoy views the entire way.
With so much to offer, Belmar continues to remain a hotspot at the Jersey Shore.
